This was my first time working in a group project and it was a ton of fun! Working with a group of 20~ fellow students over 6 weeks on this frantic first person shooter.
Over the course of development I learned a lot about using Unreal Engine 4 to create a variety of different game systems such as an inventory and a score calculator that used a lot of different variables.
Working with my team in the technical department provided a lot of opportunities to learn new skills and support my team mates; giving each other feedback and advice on how to approach different systems or working with the design team to flesh out how mechanics would work specifically.Â
It was also a great opportunity to put GitHub skills into practical use and get a handle on using version control in a collaborative project.
